Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer
The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is a microfluidics-based platform for sizing, quantification and quality control of DNA, RNA, proteins and cells. Our instrument is operated by core personnel only. Use the in-lab sign-up sheet to request the assay you would like us to run when you drop-off your samples. The core personnel will run the chip and output a .pdf file containing the results. If you need the raw data files for your run please indicate this fact on the sign-up sheet. It is up to the researcher to submit their samples within the proper concentration range. Charges are per chip. Depending on the assay you are using each chip holds 11-12 samples as listed below. The approximate turn around time is 1-3 days however, please note that large orders may take longer. We require minimum 3ul per sample.

Beckman Z2 COULTER COUNTER
The Coulter Counter can be used for counting cells or particles in the 1-120 micron size range. This technique provides accuracy, speed, versatility, and excellent precision; it is the accepted reference method for cell counting.
Core personnel assisted instrument usage per hour- $40
The IMPLEN NanoPhotometer instrument allows the accurate determination of nucleic acids, proteins and peptides in ultra low sample volumes. For dsDNA it has a detection range of 2 ng/ μl to 18,750 ng/μl.
The NanoPhotometer™ Pearl is equipped with pre-programmed Applications for the following:
- Nucleic acids- dsDNA, ssDNA, RNA, and Oligonucleotides, Labeling efficiency
- Proteins- Protein UV (A280), Protein Dye, Bradford, Lowry, BCA, Biuret
